Tutors and students are required to follow the below DoLessons’ guidelines when using this service. DoLessons does not assign tutor to students, but in a few cases, students choose their tutors based on the tutor's profile details. Your chances of being booked by students depend on how professional and excellent your profile is organized. Carefully plan your profile, paying attention to details, see sample profiles for guidance.
We have standardized profile rules that must be obeyed by all tutors, defaulters will be sanctioned severely. Please keep the following in mind as you compose your profile:
Teachers Guidelines:
As a tutor, you are required to:
- Let DoLessons handle the billing for all classes both initial and subsequent lessons for all students provided by DoLessons, for as long as you work with them.
- Maintain accurate information regarding location, availability and services offered.
- Render services at the approved DoLessons rate established at the time of booking.
- Honor scheduling policies as agreed to by you and your students.
- Be ethical in the conduct of lessons, not use your DoLessons account to perpetuate any form of criminal tendencies such as fraud, kidnapping, sexual abuse, molestation, terrorism, etc. your data are constantly screened for accuracy by security expert, you will be caught!
- Address all schedule details directly with your students.
- Notify DoLessons if your student misses more than 3 consecutive lessons in a row.
- Alert DoLessons if your student is having any trouble with billing that we can assist with.
- Do not give false, inaccurate and misleading information about you, such as education, work experiences and history, awards, certificate, photo, etc.
- If you receive a request from DoLessons’ client to re-hire you secretly and privately, be sensitive to direct them to DoLessons booking page, if you are caught cheating on this, we shall sue for damages, choose your step wisely.
- Do not transact business of any kind with DoLessons client, your job is to teach, such reports will be treated as fraud.
- Profile Photo: your profile photo explains your emotional build up. Your photo should look friendly, clear, attractive and professional. No part of your face should be cut off, make it bright, presentable with a smile. Clients are attracted to nice photos, make yours the best.
- Your Earnings: you shall earn 60 percent of the total cost of each lesson. Getting more students depends on how excellent your profile is and your ability to conduct smart personalized learning experiences to students. Your earnings are paid at the end of the lesson, which is thirty days.
- We detest tutors who refuse to show up for lessons after being assigned to students. Such tutors are automatically blacklisted and removed from our system. We expect that having set your availability; you shall take all assigned lessons seriously. We do not accept excuses for why you shouldn’t attend lessons.
- You must Log into your dashboard at least thrice a week. We are interested in active users only.
- Do not enter personal details such as Phone Numbers, Email Address, Home address, Advert or any information considered to be personal, with the aim of being contacted by DoLessons client directly on your profile, doing this will amount to a bridge of trust on wish DoLessons is built, you will be blacklisted and your profile deleted from our system.

Your relationship with us is that of an independent contractor, and nothing in these guidelines, the Terms of Use or any agreement is intended to, or shall be construed to create a partnership, agency, joint venture, employment or similar relationship between you and us.
You are not authorized to make any representation, contract, or commitment on our behalf unless specifically requested or authorized by us in writing to do so.
You are solely responsible for, and will file, on a timely basis, all tax returns and payments required to be filed with, or made to, any federal, state or local tax authority with respect to the performance of the services and receipt of compensation from us. VAT will be deducted.
No part of your compensation will be subject to withholding by us for the payment of any social security, federal, state or any other employee payroll taxes.
You will observe all anti-harassment and non-discrimination laws in the performance of your services.
